We are a small cattery, and our cats' happiness is our primary concern. Having host cats living with friends allows us to continue working with our lines and others we admire without expanding the size of our cattery, giving each cat and kitten the attention and love he or she deserves. The only difference between a host cat and a cat living at Winterfyre is location. They and their kittens are raised in an equally loving environment held to the same high standards as we hold ourselves. We are indebted to Jon, Susan, and Jan for the opportunity to work with their beautiful cats.
Our Host Cats

We knew Mandy was special from the moment she was born, and we are ecstatic that her family was willing to be a host family. Mandy's mother has produced some of our best kittens, and Mandy is no exception. She combines her mother's pluckiness with her father's sense of adventure into a gorgeous blue tabby package. Believe it or not, I think she might even be more spoiled than our crew here at Winterfyre! Mandy's favorite pasttimes include cicadia hunting, singing the "sardine song" and sending all her reject boyfriends to Pender, Nebraska (she also has her mother's exquisite sense of taste in men...). Mandy is the mother of litter 11, litter 12, and litter 14.

Knowing Bennie's father would be neutered in 2003, we were hopeful his last litter would include a white female to continue his lines. We were fortunate that Serra cooperated with three beautiful white girls! Bennie is a spitfire and loves to be the center of attention, whether that entails jumping in the shower or plopping down on a mound of paperwork. Her purr echoes all over the house, and we know her kittens will be as sweet and beautiful as their mother and grandmother. Thanks to her host Mom and her unsuspecting brother and sister for putting up with (and even claiming to enjoy!) her antics. Bennie is the mother of litter 10 and litter 13.

Hobbes moved in with Winterfyre Mandolyne Reign in June, 2005, and we are thrilled to have this beautiful, sweet boy join the family! Hobbes loves you with his eyes and wears his heart on his sleeve. He never misses a meal but will give up food in favor of cheek and belly rubs. One of his favorite activities is napping with Mom, but he also enjoys hide and seek, chasing the laser light, and keeping a close eye on his girlfriend Mandy. We can't wait to see their kittens! A huge thank you to Susan and Jon for giving this gorgeous redhead a home at "Winterfyre North," now relocated to Arizona! Hobbes is the father of litter 11, litter 12, and litter 14.
